Oculus Rift, which are the minimum PC system

Hello World,
It was always clear that the Oculus Rift requires a powerful PC nice to be able to function properly because of its characteristics can project people into a virtual reality.
But today, Oculus himself has published technical specifications and the minimum requirements that must have a PC to run the unit in an acceptable manner.

Here's what you need to buy an Oculus Rift:
  • NVIDIA GTX 970/290 AMD equivalent or higher
  • Intel i5-4590 equivalent or higher
  • 8GB RAM (preferably more)
  • HDMI 1.3 video output
  • 2x USB 3.0 ports
  • Windows 7 SP1 or higher
I'll tell you the truth, it is certainly the most expensive configuration PC you can find in the world.

For example, if you want to buy a graphics card as God then take a look at Titan X graphics card that Nvidia has introduced specifically for virtual reality.
Unfortunately, a graphics card like that still costs € 1000 for Desktop version for laptops and currently there is no such component.

Oculus warns us that there are many laptops that have an HDMI output built-in video card, but it is said that they are able to support the Oculus Rift
Since this is not something that can be determined by reading the specifications of a laptop, the Oculus is working on identifying the right systems.
Note that almost no laptops currently on the market has the performance of the video card required minimum, even if the next GPU could ensure a high enough level

The development for compatibility with OS X and Linux is currently paused just to optimize the device with Windows systems, in each case is in the plans of Oculus to resume the study.

The system requirements are still high because the Oculus Rift requires a framerate up to have a good experience.
However, these specifications should remain constant for the development of this edition of Rift, so that all consumers can afford a computer like that later.

Oculus Rift is still a device "for the few" because of its cost and the price of the hardware to make it work properly.
In a few years it hopes will be for everyone!
