Guide to the new version of Google Maps, differences with Maps Lite

Hello World,
Just today, the old version of Google Maps was finally sent into retirement
Google had warned us about this process, telling us that gradually would disappear to make room for a newer version and compatible with modern systems
The fateful day arrived, unfortunately from now is just to get used to, but we can rely to a Lite version of Google Maps a little 'lighter than normal

Just as Google explains, if the Browser, the slow connection or the operating system does not allow the use of this new version of Maps can use its Lite version
To access it, just go to the classic address in Google Maps, click on the question mark at the bottom right by selecting "Back to the Classic version of Google Maps"

Unfortunately it happens just as described, but when the page loads will have access to the Lite version of Google Maps marked by lightning and the activation message of this mode

If you are still not able to make access to the Lite version you can use this link address: Lite version of Google Maps

Lite mode some features of Maps that are left out weigh allowing loading and fluidity

Differences between Google Maps Full and Lite version

The features that are disabled in the Lite version than the full version are:

  • Visualization of 3D images and view Earth
  • Provide the location of your computer on the map
  • Setting the address of the home and work
  • Search near a location, measuring the distance between points and acquisition of the coordinates
  • Dragging paths
  • Embedding Maps
  • Sending a place car
  • Viewing My Maps in Google Maps
  • Reports of problems related to data of a map in Google Maps

You can then switch to the full version of Google Maps by clicking the lightning bolt at the bottom right of the screen

The new Maps works much better than the previous one about the algorithms, it allows you to identify traffic and times correctly, distances are calculated accurately, the places we visited are saved, even tells us where our cell phone !!
